After more sanding and shaping, I finally painted the cradles and attached the lights. Then I mounted them to the wingtip cutouts so that I could take these pictures. Of course, before they become functional, I'll have to wire the wings, put reflectors in the cutouts, and install the lens covers.
More work than I anticipated, but it seems they will work OK!
