Brief Description:  Trial run on wingtip cut-out reflector.

I had used stainless steel foil that is 0.002" thick on the firewall to cover ceramic insulation, so I decided to try using it as a wingtip cut-out reflector. I traced the shape of the cut-out and the 120 angle hole onto the foil and used scissors to cut the foil. It came out alright but did not appear to be shinny enough. It also had a few dimples from handling during the cutting.

I decided to order some 0.020" alcad and polish it. I will bend the alcad at the intersection line and cut the hole using Dremel tools. To attach the alcad I plan to use spray-on adhesive and maybe a couple of rivets.

My brother and I plan on restoring our 40 year old fiberglass Century Resorter boat during October. We will scrape the bottom and repaint as well as rebuilding the Holley 4 barrel carb on the Ford 351 cubic inch V8 inboard engine. Argggh! My back hurts just thinking about it.
