Brief Description:  Continued the install of the ELT.

The install manual said to locate the ELT within 10 degrees of the longitudinal axis pointing forward (arrow on the ELT), and to connect to solid structure. After considering a few locations from the forum debate, the center rib behind the baggage compartment filled the bill.

I made a doubler (0.063" Al sheet) with a 90 degree bend at the forward end that was riveted to the bottom skin to strengthen it. The tray sent with the ELT was screwed to the top rib angle and the skin that attaches to the bottom angle of the rib. I had to use some spacers between the rib and tray to keep the tray flush to the rib. The velcro straps and the buckeling aluminum strap holds the ELT into the tray. The ELT is angled down 6 degrees below the horizontal plain at this location which is within the 10 degrees specified in the manual.

I'll run the coax cable and install the antenna on another day.
