Brief Description: Defueled/Installed Equipment for Weighing
In preparation of weighing the airplane, Randy Brooks and I drained all the fuel out of the fuel tanks. Van's weighing instructions say to not include the unusable fuel, which is approximately one gallon in each tank. All floor pans, seat cushions, seat belts, and shoulder harnesses were laid in the cockpit. The gear fairings, stiffeners and wheel pants were placed on each wing. The cowling was put in place.
