Because the plastic separating the new glass for inserting the original fairing was not pulled off, the overlapping new glass did not stick to the original fairing. After sanding the top and attempting to get a smoother transition, there is also a large lip from the new glass over the windshield clip to the original fairing. Two oval-shaped pieces were cut and then glassed in that area, trying to build it up. Two longer strips of glass were then cut and glassed in place tying the new glass with the original fairing.
