I finished labeling the last few wires from the Dynon EMS. I pulled out the EGT/CHT wiring harness and split and stripped the ends. I drilled a 1/2" hole in the subpanel for the wires to go thru, with a plastic bushing installed. After installing the wiring harness and screwing the plug to the Dynon, I investigated the maintainability of the EMS unit with the two wiring harnesses attached. The labels I had attached to the wires prevented the Dynon from being pulled out far enough to allow the plugs to be unscrewed. I marked the EGT/CHT wires with tape as a reference for allowing slack. The labels on about eight wires were removed and the labels and heatshrink were reapplied farther away from the bushing. The wires can now be pulled thru. The plugs for both harnessess were screwed into the back of the Dynon and the unit was screwed back into the panel.
