Brief Description: Attempted to Install Fitting on Oil Hose
I talked with Fred Coblentz and Jeff Paden as to their method of cutting a stainless steel braided line and then installing a fitting on it. Fred said to make sure that the cutting tool was at a high speed. Jeff said that he used masking tape, rather than electrical tape.
I rewrapped the oil line with masking tape and cut off another short length. I then tried to place the fitting over the edge, but the stainless steel braids were spreading out away from the fitting. I was unable to install the fitting.
