Brief Description: Removed Oil Pressure Hose/Making New Hoses
I had ordered a three-foot length of Aeroquip -4 hose and four fittings. These will be used for the additional oil line to the Hobbs meter pressure switch. One fitting was installed on the end of the new hose with no problems. The oil line from the engine to the oil pressure transducer was removed. Electrical tape was wrapped around a section of line and the Dremel cut-off wheel was used to cut the line. The tape did not hold the stainless steel lines in tight. Another strip of tape was wrapped around one cut edge and another short length was cut off, with the same result. The fitting could not be installed on the hose.
