After getting the panel powered with the battery, I looked at getting the flap switch wired up and operating. After reviewing the diagrams and not coming up with a method to connect the flap switch, I asked Jeff for assistance. Jeff pointed out that the ShowPlanes Flap Positioning System was added after the panel had been made; therefore, Aerotronics did not account for that system.
Another call was placed to Jason-Aerotronics. Jason set me straight and pointed out that the pins in the P1 connector for the flap switch will not be used. The wires from the FPS will be wired directly to the flap switch and the power wire will be added to the bus bar. The flap switch had the existing wires removed. The new flap wires were just screwed onto one side of the flap switch. The master switch was turned on and the flap switch activated. The flaps moved properly.
