Brief Description: Crimped Three Ground Wires into One Ground
I called Jason at Aerotronics to get advice on how to best join the three ground wires from each side of headset wires and then join the two wires into one. Jason first suggest that the wires could have a ring terminal crimped onto them in the jack area and then screw the terminal into a bulkhead. I already had the wires running forward, so he suggested that I still use a ring terminal, but crimp ring terminals onto both sides of wires. Then I should make up one length of wire with another ring terminal crimped on one end and a D-sub pin on the other end. The ring terminals could then be screwed together and the one ground wire could be pinned into the P4S connector. Heatshrink was placed over the wires as they came together. The ring terminals were screwed together using a #6 screw. The two red power wires from the LEMO jacks were tied together with heatshrink. The ends were crimped into a D-sub pin.
