The original ram air door control arm was cut off and riveted to the new arm at an angle. This new angle will allow the carb heat cable to run in a straight line between the open and closed positions. The B-nut, however, hits the cowling when placed on the outboard side of the arm. The B-nut will be installed on the inboard side of the arm. Jeff Paden applied heat to the carb heat inlet to allow clearance for B-nut. The front inlet of the air filter was cut back with the Dremel to allow clearance with the cowling inlet.
