Brief Description: Drilled Aft Top Deck Off/Replaced Cross-Bracket
Dave Ross came over and looked over the cross-bracket problem. We decided to replace the bracket. We drilled all of the rivets off the top deck and then drilled the cross-bracket off the bulkhead. I cut a new bracket out of stock from Bernie. I used the bandsaw to trim the initial angles of the ends and used the Scotchbrite wheel to round off the ends so they fit snugly into the radius of the longerons. The bracket was primed and then riveted to the bulkhead. Dave used the side of a drill bit to move the pilot hole previously drilled in the right longeron inboard.
