Brief Description:  Repair of front flashing angle

Because I cut the angle wrong on the front turtle deck side skin, I had to make an extension piece for both sides of the fuselage to cover the gap that would have been visible. I made up two thin cover pieces out of 16 thou scrap that I had, and riveted these into place using solid rivets, where the two skins over lap I will add a bit of body filler and sand smooth so that once its painted it won;t be visible. For such a small mistake its amazing how long it took to come up with a workable solution that I was happy with. Anyway, the side flashing is on and it now does what it should. If you follow the instructions and make the cuts as per the plans you don't create these problems for yourself. This is the one problem when doing this stuff when your tired.
