Brief Description: Side covers for the horizontal stabilizer
I reused the template that I had made when determining the location of the cut-outs in the rear turtle deck for the horizontal stab, it needed to be extended a little, but two iterations later and I had something that was a good fit. I transferred this onto the some 16 thou sheet and cut out both sides identically, as they are just a mirror image of each other. The front of each cover slides in behind the rear turtle deck skin, and the rear of the cover slides behind the rear-mounting bracket for the stabilizer. When the stab is installed for good, the rear and front brackets will be pop riveted, which will clamp the parts in place. I figure if I need to remove the horizontal stab the rivets will need to come out anyway, so there is no need for nut plates etc.
