Brief Description: Pop riveted rudder skeleton and skins
Pop riveted the rudder skeleton back together after the parts had been dimpled, the finish is very good, the determining factor for a good flush finish for the rivets seems to be determined more by how good the dimple in the skin is rather than the technique used when holding the rivet gun. This was apparent in the finish of the rivets that had the dimples formed by the close quarters dimple dies which were not as crisp as the dimples formed by the DRDT dimple tool. Lesson learnt spend more time to get a good dimple with the close quarters tool.
