Brief Description: Left wing finished, and in the cradle
This afternoon I got Anne-Marie to help me flip over the left wing so that I could apply the pin striping to the bottom of the wing, once this was complete I gave the top and bottom surfaces of the wing a good waxing so that dirt, bugs etc are less likely to stick. With the left wing done Anne-Marie and I placed it into the cradle and then I did the same for the right wing, pin striping applied to the bottom surface and then polish. I also cut out all the Ray Allen wing walk material and stuck it to both wing surfaces. This stuff is pretty neat; it’s a textured non-slip rubber, rather than the typical rough sandpaper material that is usually applied. Its also a lot easier on the knees, it should be interesting to see how its holds up under normal use. I also cut the wing intersection rubbers to size and fitted them into place, there is no real reason to glue this on as in theory the force to the wing and fuselage butted together will hold them in place.
