Brief Description:  Oil access door

As soon as I started work on this I realised it was going to be difficult. The position of the engine in the standard Jabiru installation places it much closer to the firewall and thus the access hatch is also further back, which means that there is more clearance above the ram ducts and the hatch can be centred over the dip stick, in this installation its off to one side, because of the raised channel on the cowl to fair the spinner back into the cowl, which may or may not cause a problem when trying to remove the dip stick, guess I shall find out soon. There is a second problem, which is why you can see two sets of holes drilled in the access hatch door, the hinge is meant to be located at the front of the cowl so that it cannot be lifted open by the force of the air stream over the cowl, but again there is not enough room between the hinge and the ram duct to allow it to swing open, so it has to go at the back, which from the perspective of it coming open is not good, but what can you do, I'll just have to ensure that the latch works really well.
