Brief Description:  Temora airshow and trip home

We managed to catch the first 2 hours of the show on Sunday morning after a massive southerly change had blown through the night before, the wind was still blowing 20 knots gusting to 35 knots, and the whole time we where wondering when we would be able to depart. At midday Paul our CFI and trip organiser made the call to leave with the majority of the front having moved through. SO we packed the 3 departing aircraft, a few of the others where staying another night and contacted Temora ground to request clearance for depatrure, which was granted. Because of the front our track back took us to Parkes, Narromine, Dubbo for fuel, Gulgong and Cessnock. 3.4 hours later we where on the ground at Cessnock feeling really pleased with our selves. Ross had gracoiusly allowed me to fly the return journey and I had a blast doing 3 landings and fighting with the wind, but still managing an average speed of about 90knots, given the last part of the trip was flown at about 75-80 knots because of the turbulance we were getting off the mountains.
