Brief Description: Closing left wing
|
|
After flying this morning, I got back and decided to stop procrastinating and re-do the few bits where Keith and Paul had made suggestions, the only one I really need to address was the Pitot routing, because I can't do this once the wing is closed. I removed all the cable ties, drilled and fitted gromets and routed the lines through the gromets. Once this was done, I fitted the earth wiring for the fuel tank. Its amazing it took no time at all, but because I didn't feel like re-doing it, it became a chore. Anyway, job done, I decided that this was as good a time as any to pop rivet the front and rear skins in place. It took a good three hours and I feel like I have RSI from the recoil of the rivet gun, but it turned out really good. In image 2 you can see I trial fitted the aileron, I still have not trimed the I/B and O/B skins, this is the next job.
