Brief Description:  Nose Top pins 1

Here's the plan. The top two hatches and the canard cover will be secured with two long pins. These pins are 2.8mm spring steel and they sit in 3/16 Nylaflow tubing. You can see in Pic 1 where they will go.

After a lot of overthinking, dispite some good on line pics I'm going with the bit by bit install method. It seems that to get the tubes to line up perfectly they need to go in with each 'break' in the line perfectly matched.

Another thing is that my IP hatch was unnecessarily heavy. The layup on the underside was not up to standard so I've cut the glass and thinned it out quite a bit. Now it looks right. Pic 3 shows that I've microed the tubes in place here. Its very dry micro painted with pure epoxy and then some peel ply. I'll remove the excess later, hardshell and reglass the back of the hatch hatch. This will also contain the tubes nicely .

Pic 2 shows the first securing of the pin tubes. Like the second layup I'll clean this up later and may put a one ply tape over the top. There are about 3 cure cycles to go before I know if this is going to work.
