Lots more hours over a few days here. I added some foam in pic 1 and in the end I carved it all off again.
After a few days I removed my added side pieces. It just didn't look right. I kept working and as you see in pic 3 it is all smoothed out and pretty flat on top. A sort od squarish nose but serviceable.
I went to bed that night thinking about excuses for how it looked so square but I didn't have a way to make it the way I always imagined the nose should be.
