This wing rib at FC1 is where the controls go to drive the ailerons. Its cut and rejoined at the foam stage so that you can remove the bulk of the blue stuff and have a nice clean base as you see in pic one.
I wasn't too excited in making the foam cut out perfect as I knew in this stage there would be precision sanding! It took a few days to get the bare glass areas and the right thickness of wall. There is a lot of checking with the plans drawings too. Having done it once before on the other wing didn't help much although I was a bit quicker this time.
We are good to go for the layup of BID, UNI inner reinfocement and another internal hardpoint. Seems like I'm forever on page 19-8 of the plans and all this is still Step 9. Maybe I should go back in this log and put which step each item is?
Someone is going to have to ask for that...which will prove I'm not talking to myself with these entries. Seems like I have thousands to go yet!
