Brief Description:  Forward stiffeners, and CSK #12 hole for tank brac

Forward stiffeners installed and drilled to F-772 floors and the firewall brackets and F-704 cover brackets.

CSK #12 hole for tank bracket F-796B bolt. Note that plans actually specify drilling into the F-770 and F-772 skins as well as the F-717 lower longeron. I checked other builder sites and a local RV-7 and RV-6 and they were the same. Not dimpled, but machine countersunk. I found one other favorite builder site who did dimple the skins and then machine countersunk the longeron, but that would be a very large oversize countersink in the lower longeron and might weaken it. So I see why the factory went this way. Stuck with the plans here.

Also measured out the placements on F-719s for the rudder blocks. Using the Dan Checkoway spacing that nearly all builders seem to use. Thanks Dan, appreciate not having to think for a moment. And thanks to Mike Bullock, Jason Beaver and others for continuing to post the locations. So for others they are 3", 4-1/16" and 5-1/8". The 3" measurement is a factory specification for the forward most mounting hole. These lines represent the forward most postion/edge of the block. The starting point of 3" is measured on F-719 in situ, and mesaured from the firewall going aft 3" on F-719 and so on for the other positions.
