In memory of tanker crew "Copper5" (KC-135A - lost in mid-air collision 13 March 1982, 161st AirRefuelingSqdn AZANG. Builder log (E-AB)Experimental Amateur Built aircraft Vans Aircraft RV-6A(Quick Build). [>3,500 logged build-hours in 10.8 yrs, with 360 hrs 2014, 608 in 2015, 852 in 2016. Now in Phase 2 Flight - >90 hrs flight time since first engine start - 24 August 2016, Special Airworthiness status 16 February 2017, first flight 18 March 2017. Flying 5 yrs now (2022), upgraded SkyView to HDX. Above photo "near the end of construction" This QuickBuild RV kit sat in a hangar for 9 yrs, almost untouched, before I rescued it in 2006 and started making slow progress. (Two home remodels, one move, 2 yrs in storage, 1 yr retired). Enjoy, but don't do anything just because I did it that way.
