Brief Description: Finish Drilling Vertical Stabilizer mount
Nineteen holes for front spar attachment, including the AntiSplat Aero stainless steel reinforcement plates to prevent cracks which have been reported in some RV7s and RV9s attachment plate. Vans never issued any SB on this, but I added the reinforcement for my own satisfaction. I side slip a lot. :):) Thank goodness for my right angle air drill. It has helped me so many times to reach close clearance areas. The horizontal and vertical spar attach is an example. I have many 1/4 threaded short and medium drill/reamer combos and they make short work of getting nice AN3 and AN4 holes done, as well as #30 AD4 rivet holes.
Beefed up reinforcement plates added at 3.5 ounces.
