Brief Description: Installed the recessed firewall section
Added additional holes to attach nutplates that hold DG7 clamps supporting the oil pressure line. Truth is, I installed 8/32 nut plates and then realized they should have been 10/32. Same rivet spacing so I drilled out the wrong ones, and opened the scew holes with a #12 bit to handle the 10/32 screws. Don't have those AN525-10R10s so I used some button head screws until I get the others. Dimpled the holes, riveted it all in place. Only thing left is to add 3M intumescent sealer where there are some natural gaps. Getting close to putting the engine on.
Would have been real mad if I forgot to rivet the rudder/brake support piece. Firewall hides rivets.
Battery box back on permanently now.
Couple more holes and we're good. ANLs, Breather support, Red Cube?
