Brief Description:  Inside Forward Edge Painted Black

I tested a couple black paints and decided Rustoleum Gloss Black for Plastic would do just fine. Taped off a 1 inch space across the forward inside front of the canopy with electrical tape. Backed that up with wide blue tape until all inside area was protected from black paint overspray.
Sanded that inner 1 inch space with 400 grit paper, cleaned it up with rubbing alcohol and sprayed three coats of black. It turned out very good. I'm hoping one inch is enough to cover the fiberglassing that happens when I make the canopy fairing soon. I'll still be mixing black dye in the epoxy but better safe than sorry. Before painting I final filed and scraped the forward edge of the canopy. Its ready to install on the canopy frame. Hooray. Reinstalled the lockdown lugs and torqued the nuts and bolts.

Not exactly sure if the fiberglass will extend further up the canopy than this black coat. We'll see.
