Did a few measurements and marked the location to drill the tip up canopy gas struts to the canopy deck. Center to center on the attach studs is shown in the poor instructions as 10.15 inches. It can actually go anywhere from 9.78 to 10.15 so I chose 10.00 and drilled the mounts to the deck. Using a piece of aluminum with two nut plates to secure the mounting brackets made it very easy to assemble. I heard horror stories of trying to get a wrench and nut on it up inside the inner area of the deck rail. Glad I made those mounting plates. Deciding if I want to try to dimple the canopy frame side to mount the forward gas strut mount. Its 063 but I think it will dimple ok. Will test a piece of scrap first. The canopy skin will get dimpled for the #10 flush screws as well.
