Brief Description:  Brake Installation 1

I am using some RV-7A construction plans plus my RV-6A plans. The AN and Nylon and Brass fittings are different between the two. RV-6 plans call for low pressure 44SN tubing from reservoir to co-pilot brake pedals (I have Parker 1/4 0.035 wall tubing) and high pressure 44NSR between co-pilot and pilot. (I have Parker 1/4 .062 wall). RV7 plans call for high pressure tube for all of it.everywhere. I installed brass fittings for high pressure between pedals, AN fittings towards firewall parking brake, and nylon fittings from reservoir to co pilot. I think the Nylon fittings get nylon inserts inside the tubing, but they are really loose fitting. Sent a note to Vans to see if that is the right stuff to use. Brass inserts were pressed into high pressure tubing for brass fittings. There were tight and needed warmed tubing to help with the insertion. No problem waiting for Vans to answer. Much more to do..

See how easy these can slide in. Doesn't seem right. Checking with Vans.
