Brief Description: Done drilling to #40. Ready to enlarge to #30
Used my combination square set to 1 1/2 inches to measure the joined roll bar halves for exact fit as I worked from the middle out on the last two F-631 halves, drilling the #40 holes. A tap here and a tap there with the rubber mallet made the necessary adjustments which allowed me to drill about 4 holes at a time. 2 in front and 2 along back. Worked all the way around and it went very nicely. Its amazing how the 2nd time you do something it gets so much easier. Located the final connector plate in its proper place and match drilled the F-631 halves through that pre drilled connector plate. I'll move it to inside the roll bar later when I countersink everything. I used the RV-7 plan measurements to locate the center of the two cutout holes in the outer back side of the roll bar. I have a terrific hole cutter the does a excellent job with any hole you need, expecially the different size firewall holes.
Drilled the last connector plate from outside while everything is assembled.
Will cut out the access holes in rear bottom soon.
