I guess I'll have to change the data plate on the sump. I just transferred it off the old B1E sump to the new Superior cold air induction fwd facing sump. Like others before, the mixture cable mounting almost fit. It spans an oil sump plug that protruded a little. I removed it and with the belt sander I shrank its depth down to .50 inches. It now is flush and the mixture bracket crosses over it, keeping it from moving at all. Of course, that was after I had to file the crossover portion of the bracket by about 1/8 so the bolt holes would line up with the oil sump holes. Played around with spacers to get the correct movement of the mixture arm, full stop to full stop. Actually I mounted a 2nd reconditioned RSA-5 which had the correct mixture and throttle arms. My original RSA-5 had straight arms. After reclocking the arm, the starter would have prevented the straight arm from working. All is well now with the offset mixture arm. Its .93 inches offset and 1.625 inches between mounting hole and mixture arm hole centerlines.
Engine on rotissery is fun. Installing mixture bracket.
