Dremel cutoff wheel worked great. You can see in picture 2 how rough the initial cut is. Picture 3 shows after sanding and filing. The opening looks huge, but its really only about 5 inches wide.
Had to hold camera, otherwise I would always use 2 hands.
Move in away from the 4 corner curves, leaving metal to sand off.
