So when I made the connections to the APRS transmitter and powered it up, It would not work. After some troubleshooting, it looked like power was not reaching the transmitter. It was probably the mini DIN connection. I sent it Byonics and indeed they found a bad connection on the motherboard. Great service by them and I was glad to see my unit transmitting in California on APRS.FI at the repair facility. Drove around with it for a day to watch it log my vehicle position accurately and then reinstalled it. On powerup I saw it boot up, and start transmitting. Woohoo!! I also verified the GPS feed into the ELT( using an ACK test lead I made), and it was showing a GPS location about every 1 second.
Green light means all is good. A red blip happens each time it transmits.
