Brief Description:  Splice Skyview Serial Wires

Five Serial TX/RX circuits, GPS power lines, Dynon Audio outs all required splicing both Skyview lines together with the appropiate wires to the utilized devices (SL40, VPX, GPS, Transponder, and ADSB). Also the Skyview audio wires were spliced to the PMA5000 audio panel as mono. I don't know why Dynon had a left and right audio wire for alert sounds. VAF site showed various splice methods, so I experimented using five methods. All are adequate, and we'll see how each holds up long term. Ready-to-use Solder splices, Butt Connectors, Knife connectors, Manual solder method (AeroElectric example), DSub male/female pins with shrinkwrap. I secured each completed wireset with shrink wrap, or small zip ties. The dual Skyview cable bundle goes over the center stack area between left and right displays, and is secured on each side of the center stack with adel clamps after I laced the bundle with waxed cord. Its solid. The device wires that come through the sub-panel are bundled with the rest of the Skyview bundle. Soldering was a challenge in the tight workspace. Thank goodness for my wire clips and magnifying glass.....
