Drew a 1 inch grid on the 1/8 plywood template I had recently traced from the metal panel and cut it to proper shape. Laid out all the measurements for the rectangle cuts and center punched all the locations of the switches, etc. Used 3M tape to outline the cut lines I drew and proceeded to cut out everything. Used a dremel wheel for a starter line on all 4 sides of each cut and then used a jigsaw to do the cuts. Used the step drill bits to make all the circular holes. Filed the wood to exactly meet the tape lines.
Checked the fit in the airplane. Good fit.
