Brief Description:  Preparing and Dimpling remaining wing skins

The remaining skins to prepare were the top outboard skin and the leading edge. As I removed the vinyl from each, I noticed minor surface corrosion in a few spots at the edge of the metal. A light sanding with scotchbright removed it all. The edges were all given a once over with an edging tool . That tool removes the shear line and leaves a properly contoured edge. I also used my wooden bending hand tool to slightly bend the necessary mating edges of the wing skins. Not all edges get the bend. Be careful. I can't decide which task I dislike more: proseal or removing vinyl. Neither is hard. They are just both tedious. So is deburring another 500 or so holes. Dimpling was also tedious, but enjoyable. I found two holes which will require oops rivets to fix slightly enlarged holes. Looks as though when I match drilled the skin and ribs I somehow caused a small oval hole to be made in the skin. The oops 1/8 inch flush rivet with standard 3/32 head will fix those. Next up will be to countersink the wing walk doubler. I also marked the "A" rib to not be dimpled. The skin and the tank attach strip with be dimpled and the "A" rib will be countersunk, being the bottom of a three piece assembly. Also, when I dimple the main spar flange for the skins, I will not dimple the flangewhere it goes on top of the wing walk doubler. The skin will be dimpled, the main spar flange will be countersunk which will then go against the wing walk doubler and main rib flange. Those last two will just be straight holes without dimples in them.
