Brief Description:  Finish cutting Fuselage Fairing

Cleco'ed the empennage fairing back on after the plate nuts were installed and marked all points of the fairing for cutting. Used a Dremel with a 2" abrasive wheel. The fiberglass cuts very easy with this tool. Marked radius for all corners and drum sanded with the Dremel. Over all the fit is just ok but not acceptable for finish fit. I will have to cut out or flox the horizontal stabilizer leading edges. There is a bit of a gap there that needs to be fixed. Next steps are to mark and drill the holes for the fairing that meets the fuselage forward. I assume I will drill out two of the bulkhead rivets on the fuselage and then install platenuts. The plans are not speciric but given the rivet spacing this is the best option.
