Brief Description:  Reinforced nosewheel fairing tow bar

Since the weekend was not good for flying off my Phase 1 hours I decided to do some minor repair work. The holes in the nose wheel fairing that allow the tow bar to attach to the nose wheel bolts need some additional reinforcement. I can see that this is a weak area and could easily rip the fairing if the tow bar came off the nose wheel bolt while pushing back the airplane.

I fabricated two .032 aluminum backer plate which I pro-sealed into place. Before installing, hammered the plate to contour to the sides of the wheel fairing and attached them with clecoesl. I will fiberglass the inside after the pro-seal dries for added stability and fill the clecoe holes as well..

As a sidebar, I shoveled the front of the hanger. Looks like they only plow about 3 ft. away from the hangers and since the temp is going to go below freezing I took the opportunity to remove the snow.
