Brief Description:  Canopy Frame priming

Purchased a tyvek paint suit and fresh air respirator hood for priming and painting. Got by in the summer months by spraying outside but to keep things moving in the winter I needed to spray inside the garage with the door partially open and the garage heater on. Most of the time was priming and setup of the AZKO primer with about 15 minutes spray time. The vent hood works great and saves my lungs from who knows what ailments in the future.

When I am done priming I clean up the spray gun and put everything in a small metal bucket while keeping the air hood on. I disconnect, shut off the clean air compressor and make a quick exit from the garage. I leave the heater on until the primer dries in about 15 minutes then open up all of the garage bay doors to ventilate the entire garage area. Winter priming poses a bit more challenges but I think with the setup I have, I will be able to continue priming and even finish paint the inside of my fueslage over the winter months.
