Read some threads on VAF Saturday evening and saw that one builder ordered Termperature sensing labels and attached them to the P-Mags. The thread caught my attention as it was a P-Mag failure. Picked up some additional information on undocumented LED diagnostics that will be helpful in the future. The builder listed the source on McMaster-Carr (part 5956K16) so I ordered a set.
One-time-use 8 Point Temp Indicating Label, 160 To 230 Degree Fahrenheit Temperature Range.
I will put them on each P-Mag and Also the Backup and Primary Alternator. This is a cheap way to see if the Mags and Alternator are getting too hot and may need improved cooling. For 10 bucks for a pack of 5 they were a good investiment.
