Brief Description:  Drill Left Wing Root Fairing Continued

Drilled #19 clearance holes and #40 nutplate holes in the left wing. The bottom overlapping wing and fuselage skin had open holes from the Quickbuild wings that I had to estimate and blind drill. Luckily the quickbuilders did it correctly and left the rivets out as well as did not dimple the skins so I had a flat surface to work with. I used a wood wedge to mark the hole center and edge distance and drilled a #40 then a #19 clearance hole. Worked out great.

Tomorrow, I will remove the wing, mechanical countersink, dimple and install the nutplates for the left wing. Rolling the outboard edge of the fairing and the bottom fuselage skin will form a better seal when the screws are put on. Once this is done the left wing can be left in the cradle and will be stored in the basement as this is the last step before I move on to the fuselage
