Brief Description: Proseal Tank Access plate hardware
Ordered replacement fuel sender hooks and some proseal from Vans last week so I could finish the fuel tank access plate assembly. Bent the new hooks correctly this time and then mixed up the proseal.
Learned the hard way that you need to proseal and rivet the anti-rotation nut at the same time with the fuel tank pickup tightened to final position. Ask me how I found that out. When all was alligned, I riveted the anti rotation nuts on and then mounted the fuel guage senders. By the time I finished with both plates the proseal was getting stiff.
Next time, I will mix up a new batch of proseal to mount the plates to the wing. After that is dry it will be time for pressure testing.
