Brief Description: Glassing Left Main Intersection Fairing
On Saturday, I mixed up an Epoxy / Flox mix for the the inside of the front and rear intersection fairing. Rough sanded parts and left overnight to dry overnight.
Next day I sanded down the inside of the fairing and started work on the outside. I put first layer of cloth on and let it setup for a hour or so..The pictures below are the results after the first layup.
I added the second and final layer of glass to the outside. I did not have any peel ply so i put the last layer of fiberglass on without any additional epoxy and worked it in. Thesre was sufficient epoxy from the second layer to fully wet the new layer. I set it aside for the day to dry.
next steps will be to lightly sand and apply a light epoxy/flox coat and then final sand.
