So, whats the best way to get these 1/8 inch slots in the skin. You want them in a precise location, centered between the Canopy Angle rivet holes. You want them straight and a consistent 1/8 inch. I'm using the bottom sacrificial Canopy Angle as a file guide. As you can see, I made a small series of slightly smaller then 1/8 inch holes to get the file in and started. Once the file was in I just pressed downward and filed horizontally. Went very quick. Slots are perfect in width and are straight.
