Brief Description: Canopy Frame Anti Movement Bolt
Looking through other builder logs, a common issue is the forward and upward movement of the canopy frame when the gas struts are installed. Many have fabricated mechanisms attached to the longerons that prevents or eliminates this unwanted movement. Here, you can see my own version of a solution. I installed a bolt in the already existing canopy front rail lightening hole that will butt up against the subpanel when the canopy is closed. This bolt limits the forward movement of the canopy frame. I'll install a different bolt in time. This bolt is just a prof of concept bolt.
