The hole in the fuselage was not big enough to allow the tube and the bead of weld. Image 1. Enlarge the side skin hole to allow for the bead of weld.
The step plate did not sit flush against the fuselage. I had to move the hole in the floor rib rearward. Image 2. Enlarge and move the floor hole rearward.
