Time to make new Canopy latch angles and to drill the holes through the handle and angles. The forward end of the handle needs to be flush with the angle. The Vans instructions will screw this step up. Don't follow it.
Here, the handle is clamped to the bottom angle. Now I'll drill the 2, #12 holes, through the bottom angle using the handle as a drill guide. To drill the top angle, simply use the (all ready drilled) bottom angle as a drill guide.
Now you can clamp the handle and angles to the fuselage side skin and drill the angle rivet holes using the side skin as a drill guide.
