Brief Description: 8. Fabricate and drill F-767 Attach Plate.
Here we are making the F-767 Attach Plate. I made 3 total before I got one I liked. The first I didn’t anticipate where the bend line would actually end up while pounding on it in my vice. The bend line is actually 1/8” below the top of the vice jaw. The second had to large of a bend radius because my wood blocks in the vice got old and compressed. The third I put some 1/8” scrap aluminum in the vice to decrease the bend radius. Also I didn’t trim the length until after the bend and after I drilled the holes in it. Third times the charm.
Image 1 shows the degree of bend. 180 – 151.8 = 28.2. I got 28.2 exactly and Image 2 shows how well it fit.
After the top and bottom of both the F-785A Backrest Bracket and F-766A Flap Actuator Channel are fitted and secure, you can drill the F-760 side covers.
