Brief Description: Mark hole locations on HS forward spar. 1
So, I didn’t follow the plans on marking and drilling the holes on the HS forward spar at all. I thought about it a while, and I really wanted to avoid problems of misaligned or angled holes. These holes hard to drill because of the location of surrounding material and are critical man. They hold the horizontal stabilizer on. If it falls off you don’t fly.
I started out by using the row of rivets along the longeron to locate the hole going through the HS main spar angle. No need to measure anything. This hole in the HS angle just needs to be inline with the longeron rivets.
