Brief Description:  Rivet Gase Tank Inspection Plate Reforcement Ring.

Now, Image 1 shows me doing something I do often but I have never heard of anyone else doing. It's inlargeing the screw holes that have platenuts. Its the hole the screw goes through to get to the platenut. You see, this whole is typically the exact size of the screw and if your platenut gets offset just a little bit then the scrw will bind on the hole as it gets aligned to the platenut. The hole is a #21 for the screw but after the holes are drilled for the platenut attach I go back and enlarged the screw holes to a #16. This will ensure the screw will screw into the platenut and not bind on the hole. I hope this is not a bad thing to do.

Image 2 is riveting on the gas tank inspection plate platenuts.

Image 3 I'm pointing to the hole in the rib that is smaller in diameter then the inside diameter of the reinforcement ring. Look hard and you will see 2 places that the drawings show this. Most builders make the rib hole equal to the ring.
